Q. Does Moving Melanin only book group travel?
A. Moving Melanin is a full travel agency, we provide group travel packages as well as individual travel packages. Visit “Vacation Quotes” to request a quote for your next vacation.
Q. Are the flights included in the package?
A. Yes, flights are included in every individual and group package. (unless otherwise requested).
Q. Why do I see a $20 PayPal fee on my invoice?
A. Moving Melanin adds a $20 PayPal fee to ensure your money as well as our money for every trip booked. Moving Melanin only charges the customer a small portion of the PayPal fees.
Q. Can men register for the group trips?
A. Yes, Moving Melanin welcome all genders and nationalities on group trips.
Q. Why is there a $20 late fee on payments?
A. If you are registered for a group trip and you are late on a payment, Moving Melanin has to submit a payment on your behalf. The fee for this inconvenience is $20 per late payment.
Q. I know I can’t make my payment on time, will my trip be canceled?
A. Moving Melanin understands that life happens and sometimes you will fall behind on a payment, we ask that you communicate with us via email before the payment becomes late. Moving Melanin can arrange a different payment schedule for you. Please note the $20 late fee will be added to your account if the payment is late.
Q. Can I join a group trip if I’m not from Nashville or Atlanta?
A. Yes, anyone can join Moving Melanin trips! Before you register, be sure to send us an email with your departure location and we will confirm if the flight rates are the same.
Q. Is there an age limit on who can register for the trips?
A. Yes, we ask that everyone who registers for a group trip is 18 years old or older. In special circumstances we will allow children of age 13 years or older to register if accompanied by parent. We hope to add family trips to our group trip schedule in the future.
Q. Do I need a roommate to register for the group trip?
A. No! Moving Melanin prides itself on “never needing a travel partner”. You can register for the trip by yourself and we will assign you a roommate. You will get to meet your roommate at the “Meet and Greet” we host before every trip.
Q. I know this is a group trip, but do I have to stay with the group the entire time?
A. Of course not, we know you are on vacation. We do ask that everyone attends the group excursions included in the package, but even these are optional. You will have plenty of free time on every group trip to do things separately.
LATE PAYMENT POLICY
Invoicing: An invoice will be sent after the initial deposit detailing all of the payments and when they are due. After each payment is made a detailed receipt will be sent within 3 to 5 business days. All emails will be sent to the email that was given at sign up. If you wish to change the email your invoices are sent to please contact : Customerservice@movingmelanin.com. If the e-mail bounces, we will attempt to contact you by other means. If the e-mail does not bounce, we will assume you received it.
Due date: Payments are due on the dates reflected on the invoice. It is your responsibility to keep track of the due dates. All early payments are welcome.
Late payments: If we have not received your payment in our office on the day it is due we will send you an email reminder. If we have not received your payment by COB (5pm Central Standard time) a $20 late fee per late payment will be added to your account to be paid on your ending balance.
Non-payment: If you refuse to pay us, or do not respond to our e-mails, we will make every effort to collect the debt. After 3 attempts your trip will be cancelled and any money paid upfront is non-refundable.
